The Gold Barb is a hardy, peaceful and social fish. Golden Barbs unlike other Barbs, they are rarely fin-nippers. Gold Barbs are ideal for beginners or experienced aquarists. Gold Barbs are a flashy schooling fish that features a bright golden-yellow metallic body. Gold Barbs enjoy open swimming areas also enjoy planted tanks. Golden Barbs are best kept in groups of 6 or more.
